Healthy Paws of Baton Rouge is dedicated to providing loving, comprehensive patient care in a minimally stressful environment. Our state-of-the-art mobile clinic allows us to provide a full array of services right at your doorstep. We offer a variety of services for cats and dogs, all of which are provided either in your home or within our modern mobile clinic. From vaccinations to surgery, we provide pets with excellent care in or near the comfort of their homes. Our mobile clinic model minimizes stress and provides a more relaxing environment for your animal companion. We’re excited to offer a peaceful, comfortable, and convenient alternative to traditional hospitals.
Dr. Heather Harkins-Barroso
Dr. Heather Harkins-Barroso was born in Port Allen, Louisiana. She attended St. Joseph’s Academy for high school, LSU for undergrad, and then Louisiana State University School of Veterinary medicine. She was awarded "Excellence in Surgery and Medicine" prior to graduating in 2006. She was then accepted into one-year internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Greensboro, NC. She worked in the suburbs of Atlanta for 10 years before returning home to be with family. Her special interest in veterinary medicine include preventive behavior disorders, internal medicine, cardiology, and dermatology. She enjoys outdoors activities such as camping, hiking, skiing, and whitewater rafting. She has two beautiful daughters and one very handsome golden-doodle, Bob.
